Laura Hill (she/her) is a postpartum doula and sibling doula! She has always had a strong interested in caretaking, maternal health, education, pregnancy and newborns, so naturally when she learned about doula work she knew she had found her life’s calling. Her first formal training came when she became a Red Cross Certified babysitter at the age of 11.

She has since worked with families in many capacities such as a camp counselor, a nanny, an international au pair, and a preschool teacher. She also has experience and training in pre and postnatal yoga, as well as kids’ yoga, which includes family yoga, baby yoga and “parent and me” yoga. Additionally, she is a certified infant massage instructor and CPR and First Aid trainer.

She loves working herself out of a job by the end of the 4th trimester by giving families the building blocks and confidence they need to take on their new roles. She is passionate about helping birthing persons heal from their birth physically, mentally and emotionally. She enjoys educating new parents and normalizing all the feelings they have during this precious time. Laura knows how joyous, yet challenging the postpartum period can be and wants to positively encourage and guide families during the beginning of this life-changing journey. She feels strongly about supporting the entire family including but not limited to non-birthing parents, older siblings, grandparents and pets. She loves cooking and baking for her clients whether it is warm nourishing meals to help with postpartum healing, making lactation cookies, or creating family meals in bulk that can be enjoyed later.

Laura is a native Texan having grown up in Houston and graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied sociology and psychology. She has a huge love of dogs and has two fur babies of her own. She enjoys going on hikes, being on the lake, doing yoga, reading memoirs and crafting.
