Advanced Coping Skills & Movement for Birth

  • Austin Doula Care 8500 Shoal Creek, Bldg 4 #107 Austin, TX, 78759 United States (map)

Birth is equal parts mental and physical work. In this 2 hour class, you and your partner/support person will learn amazing coping techniques and movements that can help you during your labor and birth.
We will demonstrate and practice a variety of techniques that can be helpful to manage the intensity of labor- whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, or know you for sure want an epidural- this class will help you learn what to expect and have some tools and coping techniques during all stages of labor. We will also discuss body alignment and ways to move your body to ensure your body has space for baby to be in a good position to help facilitate birth.

This class is a perfect addition to our Birth Basics class or a basic hospital childbirth education class or virtual class. Also a great class for someone who has given birth before and is looking for more tools to help this time around.

This is NOT a standalone childbirth education class. Participants must have some basic knowledge of the stages of labor before taking this class either through a previous class or birth experience.
