Associate Doula

My name is Haley and I am a queer parent to two kiddos, full spectrum doula, and student midwife through the National College of Midwifery. I’m an Austin native and my family and I live in South Austin with our small zoo of pets.

My call to birth work was awakened through my own birthing experience which broke me open and sparked transformation in me. My passion and connection to this work deepened through the process of navigating fertility treatments, conception with donor sperm, logistical challenges of second parent adoption, and the unique emotions of being a non-gestational parent to our daughter and sitting in the role of partner to the pregnant/birthing parent.

I’m passionate about supporting all of the unique flavors people and families come in, especially LGBTQIA+ families like my own.

As your doula, my role is to make sure you feel educated, empowered, held, and honored through pregnancy and birth. No matter what decisions you make ahead of time or in the moment, my goal is to make sure you feel informed and in control of your choices.

As a support person in your birth space, my role can look a lot of different ways depending on what is needed moment to moment and ultimately what your vision is for how your birth will go and how you envision others will be around you providing love and support. In general, my style leans more towards calm reassurance infused with lighthearted connection. Ultimately, I aim to be a steady presence for families as they navigate the unique challenges and joys of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
