Norma Jean Bell (she/her), Postpartum Doula

Norma Jean Bell is a postpartum doula who began supporting families at age 14 as a nanny. Over time, she has broadened her scope and knowledge through childcare of all forms, leading her fatefully to doula work. Being a nanny for a postpartum doula at that time made the transition into postpartum care all the sweeter.

Quickly, Norma Jean realized she found her true soul work and has been enjoying welcoming new babies and their families home as of spring 2023.

As a Black woman and a birthworker, Norma Jean feels especially pulled towards this work to powerfully and positively impact the maternal/parental and infant mortality rates. She also strongly believes every parent, regardless of status, deserves equitable, consistent and judgment free support, to be listened to and heard, and to have their experiences validated.

As your postpartum doula, Norma Jean will hold you and your growing family with kindness, care, and respect. She wishes to empower you to be the best parents you can be. You more than deserve it!
