Tiffany Goodman Bilbe (she/her), CD (DTI)
Associate Doula
My name is Tiffany, and I am a DTI trained full spectrum doula, assisting with birth and postpartum support. I was born and raised in New Orleans, and I journeyed to Washington, DC for college and the Bay Area for grad school. My husband and I moved to Austin in 2000 where all 5 of our children were born in the span of 7.5 years–starting with a rainbow baby, and with an IUD baby as our caboose. My children have been my most influential teachers–from preconception to independent young adults–teaching me to “be patient”, “expect the unexpected”, “follow the child”, “be curious”, “stay open”, “love deeply”, and that “being on time is overrated”. These inspirational lessons have greatly informed my journey as a birthworker and space holder.
My path to birthwork was deeply influenced by my own diverse pregnancy and birth experiences and the powerful impact of supportive care (or the lack thereof). I’ve also worked as a music therapist, songleader, homeschool teacher, veggie and chicken farmer, volunteer, and activist. My passions in recent years have led me to plant based nutrition certification, yoga teacher training, ongoing volunteer work with children with disabilities, and, of course, birthwork.
I provide care with empathy, non-judgment, and a focus on empowering clients to trust their intuition. Every family has its own culture, and every birth writes its own story. My work centers on creating space where birthing parents and their partners feel seen, heard, and supported. Caretaking is my love language, and nurturing others through the joys and challenges of life transitions is my passion. I love sharing information, bringing comfort, and creating sacred spaces for meaningful memories.
